Terms & Conditions of Travel

Welcome to Shanaka Travels & Tours. By confirming a bespoke voyage commission or reserving a private guided journey, you enter into an agreement governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and SLTDA regulations.

1. Commission & Reservation Deposit

To secure bespoke hotel reservations, private Mercedes fleet chauffeurs, and archaeological permits, a deposit of 30% of the total journey invoice is required upon confirmation of the master itinerary dossier. The balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival.

2. Amendments & Itinerary Flexibility

Our curators accommodate route adjustments without penalty subject to boutique estate room availability. Exceptional climatic conditions or road repairs will be navigated with equivalent five-star alternatives.

3. Chauffeur-Guide Standards

All private chauffeurs and accompanying naturalists are licensed by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, fluent in English, and bonded under comprehensive commercial transit liability insurances.

4. Travel Insurance Requirement

All international guests must maintain comprehensive overseas travel insurance covering medical emergency repatriation and baggage loss prior to commencing their journey across Sri Lanka.
